EU Supports The Gambia’s Secondary Education With D1.7 Billion Five Year Grant
The European Union and the Government of The Gambia have signed a Financing Agreement for the programme “EU Support to Improve Secondary Education for The Youth (EU-ISEY)”. The new programme, worth approx. 1.7 billion dalasi (20 million euros), aims at improving Senior Secondary Education completion rates while reducing the gender and socioeconomic inequalities in educational attainment in The Gambia, especially in rural areas. EU and NYP Launch Youth Advisory Committee
The European Union Delegation to The Gambia and the National Youth Parliament – The Gambia (NYP) have established the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). This initiative is part of the EU's commitment to youth empowerment and participation in decision-making processes, as outlined in the EU Youth Strategy 2021-2027 and the Youth Action Plan in the European Union external action.
