In The Gambia, a joint initiative by the Gambia Chess Federation (GCF) and the Gambia Federation of the Disabled (GFD) is opening doors for Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs), using the game’s ability to sharpen memory, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build critical thinking.

Hon Bah of Banjul North Extends Support for Banjul Mini Stadium
The National Assembly Member for Banjul North, Hon Modou Lamin Bah donated a total of D60,000 to eleven different sports institutions including nine football teams on Friday 20th September 2024.
MoYS: D283 Million Independence Stadium Renovation to Conclude in July 2024
Sports Minister Hon Bakary Badjie revealed that The Gambia Government will spend some D283 million to complete two renovation phases of the country’s only National Independence Stadium which is expected to be completed by the end of July 2024.
